Terre Haute Lodge No. 19, F.&A.M. is working to preserve and share this rich history found in our archives. A set of letters sent to members serving in the armed forces. The letters span from March of 1943 to January of 1946 and were sent monthly. They give information from the Brothers in service and to them from the Lodge.
The letters have been digitized and we are working to make audio recordings of them, which can be distributed to historical minded organizations including the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. For More information, visit the WWII Letters Page.
Terre Haute Lodge No. 19 is fortunate to have the majority of the records documenting the history o four 200+ year history and we are actively working to digitize, transcribe, document, and preserve these records to help us better tell our story, and to serve as a resource to the community.
Records being reviewed include membership rosters, petitions, correspondence, minute books, ledger books and many others. This will greatly aid in the Lodge being able to directly accommodate genealogy requests and other historical research, internal and external.
Other projects that may be on the horizon at Terre Haute Lodge No. 19 include:
-An oral history project
-Downtown street banners honoring the accomplishments of our past members
-Masonic grave markers
